Artist statement
A high-end, brushed aluminum laptop sits half-open on a black satin cloth, its lower half crisp and solid, while the upper bezel and screen appear to disintegrate into a suspended cloud of pixel fragments and translucent polygons. Behind it, a deep charcoal wall is bisected by a razor-thin vertical beam of cool white light, like a digital portal. Subtle rim lighting traces the metallic edges, while a soft, directional spotlight from above creates delicate gradients across the laptop’s surface.
